Italian made simple

I know firsthand how frustrating learning a new language can feel.
As an Italian who moved to England, I’ve experienced the confusion, the overwhelm, and the challenge of turning grammar and words into real conversations!
But learning doesn’t have to be stressful! I transformed my personal experience into my teaching method, a simple and structured approach that can even be enjoyable and exciting as you feel progressing!

Italian is easier than you think

You might feel like Italian is tough, but here’s the good news: it’s actually one of the most approachable languages for English speakers. And this is why:

Lots of familiar words: Telefono (telephone), università (university), musica (music)
Consistent pronunciation: No confusing silent letters, you read it as it is written
Clear sentence structure: No complications, just subject, verb, object

With a structured learning method, you’ll be surprised at how quickly you start understanding and using Italian in real conversations!

How to learn Italian effectively - without feeling stuck

If you’ve tried learning Italian before but felt overwhelmed, it’s likely because you didn’t have a clear, comprehensive structure to guide you.
The internet is oversaturated with common Italian words and phrases and studying materials for practicing. However I believe that the most important factor for succeeding when learning Italian is an organised method! Here are my three core tips for you:

  1. Focus on essentials first:

    Aquire basic grammar structures in a progressive way so it’s easy to understand and apply, learn the most common verbs first and follow a simple and basic sentence structure when try to form phrases;

  2. Learn words that actually matter:

    Instead of memorising all the vocabulary, focus on practical common words you use every day. Imagine everyday scenarios like greeting and introducing yourself, things around the house and everyday actions, like going out ordering food & drinks.

  3. Immerse yourself in Italian daily:

    Learning a language is also about a whole life (Vita)! So it's important to go beyond textbooks and grammar; listen to Italian podcasts, even 10 minutes a day to improve listening skills, watch Italian TV, series or movies and try to repeat some of the sentences you recognise. This will help you memorise words and feel more confident when speaking. Expose yourself to Italian content on social media and keep being consistent!
